“Changing the shape of the future”
A mock Samsung tradeshow booth
(2019)
*created for academic purposes*
Lounge Area
For this booth idea, I focused on a specific Samsung product, the Galaxy Fold (a folding smartphone). I was drawn to this because folding something creates so many interesting angles and I wanted to use these to inspire the physical booth design. This is present in the slanted rectangular shape used in the ceiling, wall, and flooring.
The large demo areas are meant to draw visitors into the booth and keep them there. Another way to keep visitors in is the charging area built into the pillar of the lounge.

Beginning Research
My main inspiration came from the angles of the phone, and the diagonals created by folding it. I first researched conventions where Samsung would potentionally exhibit to create a point of reference.

Ideation
I then looked into the branding of Samsung, finding a lot of recurring motifs such as the forms in the logo (shown to the right), as well as a tendency to use darker tones for branding, namely grays, blacks, and blues.

Promotional Items
Finally, I looked into theoretical promotional items that would work well with this booth in a tradeshow setting.
